Athens holds so many secrets. From the Agoras to The Phlipappou Hill and the Kerameikos to the National Garden, serene and iconic places are everywhere deep in the city. Hills in the heart of Athens give the opportunity for great hikes and all of them hold secrets I won't reveal yet. Either it will be the Lycabettus or the Philopappou and the Pnyka Hill, after climbing up, which will be a great boost for your immune system and your overall body wellbeing, you will come across the most stunning views of the city. After the hike we will practice yoga in a beautiful spot gazing the beautiful Athenian sky before heading to a miniwalk downtown enjoying some traditional greek delicious snacks.
We'll meet at the Syntagma Square, a very central and easy spot to find and head to the Lycabettus Hill (it can be Philopappou or Pnyka if we like). On the Lycabettus there are multiple routes to choose so the hike can be quite easy or even strenuous if we need a good workout! The hills are sacred and beautiful and the view of the city is astonishing. We will see Athens from up above, have a good view on the historical center and discuss the most important facts about Athens. We will see the beautiful chapel of St George that looks like the churches of the greek islands and take pictures on our way down. Then we will get to the secret spot our yoga class will take place, warm up a bit and go for our practice gazing at the amazing city as it lays on the feet of the hill or head to the amazing gardens of the city to practice next to a pond with goldfish with birds and trees everywhere around us. A nice relaxation part will follow where we will forget a bit about the urban rythm and connect with nature and our deeper selves. As we return we will enjoy some post workout snack and get ready for the rest of the day.
