Flights & getting there
Having your own wheels is advantageous here, as public transport to the main villages is limited to one or two buses per day.
KTEL Arkadia in Tripoli is the departure point for buses to Stemnitsa (€4.50, one hour, one daily Monday, Thursday and Friday), Dimitsana (€6.30 to €7.10, 1½ hours, two Monday to Friday) and Andritsena (€9.40, 1½ hours, one to two daily).
It also handles buses to Athens (via Corinth Isthmus, €16.50, 2½ hours, almost hourly), Olympia (€13.50, 2¼ hours, one daily weekdays), Pyrgos (€15.50, 2¾ hours, one daily weekdays), Nafplio (€7.70, 1½ hours, one to two daily) and direct to Patra (€19.80, three hours, one to two daily except Saturday).
Buses also run to Sparta (€5.90, one hour, seven to nine daily) and Kalamata (€8.90, 1¼ hours, one daily on weekdays).
