The KTEL Bus Station on Argostoli’s southern waterfront is the epicentre of the island’s public-transport network, with services to the following destinations:

Fiskardo €6.40, two daily

Lassi Peninsula €1.50, seven daily

Poros €4.50, three daily

Skala €4.50, two daily

Sami €4, four daily

Buses run on Sunday in high season only.


The main ferry quay is at the northern end of the waterfront, close to the EOT information office. Car ferries connect Argostoli with Lixouri on the Paliki Peninsula (per person/car €2.80/4, 30 minutes, 7am to 10.30pm). Between May and September they run half-hourly from noon to 5.30pm and hourly at other times. From October to April they run a little less frequently.

Ertsos sells tickets for services to Ithaki and Kyllini.
