Of the approximately 300 asclepions, Kos Island's was one of the largest and best known. Explore the remains of this remarkable structure, dating to around 400 BC. See the medical school, temples, and thermal baths. Make sure to visit the highest terrace of the complex for views of much of the island's eastern side. Head to the small on-site museum to learn more about the practice of medicine in ancient Greece.
