Welcome to the UK, described by Lonely Planet in the latest UK guide as "simply one of the most beautiful islands on earth". You'll find that whilst people can appear flippant and/or sarcastic on this branch, it's only part of the unique British sense of humour so don't take it personally.
Please read this thread first before you ask a question, hopefully you'll find your answer already inside!

I'll be in Conwy for 2.5 days and want to explore as much of the north coast as possible by train - please can someone offer suggestions as to routes and stops along the way? I've heard that Caernafon, and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland train trips are beautiful. i don't have any idea of time-frames between towns.
Would someone be kind enough to suggest a comprehensive 2 day itinerary for me/ I'd be most grateful.
Hi There, Just 2 quick questions regarding the above topic. I am flying in to Heathrow and arriving at 7.45am on a Saturday . Australian citizen, trying to narrow down to carry on baggage but may have to go with one checked in bag. Trainline advises that there are trains at 10.18am and 10.28 am which would get me to St Ives in the late afternoon. Q1/ My flight arrives at Terminal 2 and the Train leaves from here according to Trainline. All things being equal, am I likely to be…

-Day 3: take the mid-morning ferry back to Kennacraig arriving around noon, **Plan right now is to drive up the coast to Glencoe with stops for sightseeing, spend…
I'm having a terrible time trying to find an answer to this...
I'll be in London for a concert on Sept. 24. I know the area where I'm staying (Leicester Square) and venue (Roundhouse) well... no worries there.
Here's where the problem comes in! I would like to go to another concert in Guildhall, Portsmouth on Sept. 23 or Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Sept. 25. How can I get to one (or both) of these places from London, and more importantly, is there a train that will get me back to my hotel…
My wife and I are first time visitors to London, but unfortunately have only 36 hours there and we are not sure how to best utilize our time. We are landing around 11 am at Heathrow on Saturday and have another flight at 2pm Monday. We are staying at Earl's Court and are mainly interested in historical and traditional London. We definitely intend to see Buckingham Palace, Westiminster Palace, Tower Bridge, and Borough Market, but are not sure what else we should see to make the best use of…
