Two-hour walking safaris and jeep safaris take place daily at 7am and 3.30pm. Night safaris depart at 6pm. You can also rent a safari vehicle for private tours (C80 an hour for the jeep, C10 per person, per hour for the guide). Park rangers are happy to let you pool with other travellers.
All tours leave from the park headquarters. The guides are excellent and will do their best to make sure guests see as much wildlife as possible. If animals can't be seen easily from a jeep, guests are encouraged to proceed on foot for a while to maximise wildlife viewing opportunities. Sturdy, covered footwear is a must for walking; if you come without, the rangers will insist on lending you a pair of Wellington boots for a fee of C5. If you have arrived by 4WD, you can pay for an armed guide to join you in your own vehicle.
