Flights & getting there

Villingen’s Bahnhof (train station), situated on the eastern edge of the Altstadt, is on the scenic train line from Konstanz (€22.20, 70 minutes) to Triberg (€6.50, 23 minutes) and Offenburg (€20.30, 70 minutes). Trains to Stuttgart (€29.90 to €31.50, two hours) involve a change in Rottweil, and to Freiburg (€21.30 to €31.60, two hours) a change in Donaueschingen.

From Villingen Bahnhof, buses 7265 and 7270 make regular trips north to Triberg. Frequent buses (eg line 1) link Villingen with Schwenningen.

Villingen-Schwenningen is just west of the A81 Stuttgart–Singen motorway and is also crossed by the B33 to Triberg and the B27 to Rottweil.
