From Halle or Leipzig, take the A9 to either the B87 or the B180 and head west; the B87 is less direct and more scenic, though it’s the first exit from the A9.
Regional trains chug to Naumburg from Halle (€8.60, 45 minutes), Jena (€8.70, 45 minutes) and Weimar (€10.70, 35 minutes). A local line runs to Freyburg (€3.10, eight minutes). Direct ICE services run to Leipzig (€21, 40 minutes).
Departing from in front of the station, the Naumburger Strassenbahn, a GDR-era tram (€2), will drop you at Theaterplatz, near Markt. By foot, walk along Rossbacher Strasse (keep bearing left and uphill) past the cathedral.
