My partner and I would like go to a handful of German and Austrian cities this summer. I've been to Berlin and Munich before, but not to Austria, while my partner hasn't been to either country.

Fly to Berlin (3 nights)
Train to Munich (2 nights)
Train to Salzburg (1 night)
Train to Vienna (3 nights)
Is there anywhere on this sort of route I'm missing out on? Travelling by train. I'd happily give Munich a miss if there was a better alternative.

On our return we will be hoping to camp in Germany, around 3-4 hours' drive from the ferry which leaves the Hook at 13:00. Does anyone have any good recommendations for nice campsites that are not too far from the main route? We…
We have 4.5 days in Nürnberg with two boys (6 and 8 years old). One day is reserved for the Playmobil Park (is one day enough?). What other things are worth exploring in or around Nürnberg?
The Kinder- und Jugendmuseum and the "Erfahrungsfeld zur Entfaltung der Sinne" look interesting.
The "Turm der Sinne" looks rather small; and while our kids (and me!) very much like such places they've seen similar bigger/better elsewhere. The toy museum does not seem much interactive (correct?). Not sure…
