Leipzig-Halle Airport lies midway between both cities, and is served by domestic and international flights. The airport is linked with Halle Hauptbahnhof by frequent rail services (€6, 11 minutes).
From Leipzig, take the A14 west to the B100. The A14 connects Halle and Magdeburg in about one hour. The B91 runs south from Halle and links up with the A9 autobahn, which connects Munich and Berlin.
Leipzig and Halle are linked by frequent IC (€12, 25 minutes) and cheaper regional trains. IC and ICE trains also service Magdeburg (€22.50, 50 minutes) and Berlin (€48.50, 1¼ hours), respectively. Local trains connect Halle with Lutherstadt Eisleben (€9.50, 40 minutes) and Lutherstadt Wittenberg (€15.40, one hour).
