Brunnenkeller

German in Eisenach

Linen-draped tables beneath an ancient vaulted brick ceiling (a cellar left over from the long-departed 12th-century castle) set the tone of this traditional chow house. Predictably, meals are honest-to-goodness German and regional classics such as Thüringer Rostbrätel (marinated pork neck) with rösti and salad. Tables spill out onto the Markt square in fine weather.
