Hi, We have booked a week's camping at Biggesee, near Attendorm, Germany. We will be 2kids (9 and 11), 2 adults and a dog.
I am looking for suggestions for day trips and things to do nearby.
Thanks in advance.
I will be visiting friends in Germany this August, and the logistics have put me without a place to stay on the 13th-15th of August: I have to leave Freiburg on the morning of the 13th and my next place on the 15th will be in a town between Freiburg i.Br. and Heidelberg (more specifically, between Achern (not, not Aachen) and Bühl). I will be looking for some accomodation relatively cheap in that area, but it should be accessible by public transport, and preferably be close to nature. I am…
I have a ten hour layover in Frankfurt, arriving at 11:10 am and leaving at 10pm . How long does it take to get from the airport to the center of town and is there a shuttle bus that does this? What would you recommend as an interesting thing to do in Frankfurt to pass away the time. How long should it take to get back from the city center to the airport and do my check in to get my outward flight. Thanks much.
I will be taking a road trip in a couple of weeks.
I have already planned the following itinerary: Berlin - Dresden - Leipzig - Berlin. These are the Places where I will stay the night. In addition, I am planning on visiting Frankfurt (Oder), Eisenhüttenstadt, Görlitz, Bautzen, Chemnitz in between.
I have an interest in the history of the former East German Republic, which I guess explains Frankfurt, Eisenhüttenstadt and partly Chemnitz.
What I am looking for now, which I have been…
I'm heading for SE Asia with a stop over in Germany for 9 days. Flying into Frankfurt and plan to travel to Berlin to watch the Marathon. While there I'd like to see as much as possible. I'm thinking of renting a car since I'm not sure of exactly where I'll be traveling to. I'm not sure of the parking in Frankfurt, Berlin? Also is there restrictions for crossing the border to other countries? I wish I could say more about my itinerary but still up in the air. Is public transportation a…
I was wondering if anyone could help with planning a four day trip to Baden Baden. I am planning to travel between 17-22 July 2018 with my family. This will be our first time to any city in Germany. It would be helpful if I could get inputs on things to do and also the restaurants which I need to go in Baden Baden.
Looking forward to getting interesting options.
I will travel from Como to Munich in September and will be taking my bicycle with me. It fits into a bike bag measuring 1.4m x 0.7m x 0.30m.
I will pre-book but need to know what conditions apply. Websites are not clear on limits.
Will the bike bag be allowed onto an IC Bus, either underfloor storage or on-board and are there extra fees?
Alternatively what limits apply to trains?
I have found a van that I want to purchase in Germany. Before I can make the deal, I need to ensure it will be possible to obtain the proper documents to drive it legally around the EU. I will spend no longer than 90 days driving it before shipping out of EU.
Is it possible to obtain insurance and new registration in my name without German residency?
Any info on which offices to go to, things to prepare before arriving in Germany, or any general info that would steer me closer to my…
