Tour description provided by Viator

Using pictures and music, the sand artists recreate the history of Berlin in around 100 minutes. Highlighting the city's many wonders and little stories, this unique show is an interaction of light and shadow, sand and music. Like taking a visual tour through Berlin that can be understood by everyone, without any words, this sand-art show is enjoyable for the whole family.
Make your way to the Pfefferberg Theater Glaspalast, a theater in Berlin's Mitte district, for an afternoon or evening showing of the Story of Berlin, performed by the sand artists. During the approximately 100-minute show, experience this extraordinary kind of performance art during which the artist works on an illuminated, glass-covered table. Watch as she draws pictures with only her hands and sand, developing them along with the story, as one picture animatedly flows into the next. Watch the performance as Berlin grows from a small village on the banks of the Spree to a modern metropolis, with many wonders and little stories. See pop-culture references like the cute polar bear-baby Knut, the German-American actress Marlene Dietrich, the Berlinale, and the Carneval of Cultures take shape in front of your eyes.  Please note that the afternoon performances of The Story of Berlin are especially family friendly.
