To begin this half-day tour, meet your guide at 10:15am at the Tourist Information kiosk in central Munich's Marienplatz. (There's also an afternoon departure offered during summer months, which you may select when booking.) Travel with your guide to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site by train (it takes about an hour), and take a guided tour of all areas of the camp once you arrive. Walk with your guide through the cells, barracks, and gas chamber. Learn the meaning behind the pictures and the museum exhibits as you read thought-provoking accounts of prisoners’ own experiences — from the camp's creation until their liberation by US forces in 1945. You'll also watch a 22-minute documentary film in English, and have an opportunity to pay your respects at the memorial. The tour concludes back at the Munich Hauptbahnhof (Central Train Station).Please note: Children under 14 years are not allowed on this tour.
