Route Charlemagne

The Route Charlemagne (www.route-charlemagne.eu) is a self-guided walk designed to showcase Aachen's 1200-year tradition as a European city of culture and science. It links key sites around town, including the cathedral, the Rathaus, the Grashaus (the former town hall) and the Elisenbrunnen hot springs. Each stop has exhibits on a particular theme (such as history, power, religion) to show the connection between Charlemagne's times and today.
