Georgia is increasingly well connected by air to Europe, the Middle East and the former Soviet Union.
Airports & Airlines
The country has three international airports at Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi, with the vast majority of flights arriving in Tbilisi. Kutaisi is the country's main hub for budget airlines, while Batumi only has a limited number of flights, many of them in summer only.
Georgia's national carrier is Georgian Airways, which is based at Tbilisi International Airport and has daily flights to a number of European cities.
Departure tax is included in the price of a ticket.
It's possible to cross into Georgia overland from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia.
It is possible to enter Georgia by sea on a ferry from Bulgaria, Ukraine or Russia. Most ferries arrive at the port of Batumi, but some arrive at Poti.
