A 20-seat marshrutka to Shatili (20 GEL, six to seven hours) leaves Tbilisi's Didube bus station (same area as the Kazbegi marshrutky) at 9am Wednesday and Saturday, starting back from Shatili at noon Thursday and Sunday from about June to October (schedules may change; for information call driver Temuri, speaking Georgian and Russian). There's also a bus from Didube to Barisakho (5 GEL, three hours) at 4pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. A minivan from Tbilisi to Shatili for up to seven people normally costs 350 GEL for a return trip, stopping one night. Shatili taxi driver Niko Chincharauli (tel 599072155) charges 200 GEL one-way to Barisakho, 250 GEL to Roshka and 300 GEL to Tbilisi.
