How do we make this trip and back (marshrutkas/cheaper taxis)? Where could we stay overnight (no tents)?

Hello,
We cant drive and don't want to overspend on taxis, so what are our options if we want to go to Juta, Roshka etc? Are there enough treks from Kazbegi itself? Nothing too hard.

Hi,

I'm taking a trip to Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan in October. I understand that people in the Caucasus often invite strangers to join them to eat and drink. I've had Georgian food years ago, and I loved it. The problem is that I have since discovered that many ingredients in the food of the Caucasus give me migraines. I don't mean little headaches, I mean blinding, head-exploding, vomiting, migraines. I get them from tannins in walnuts, pomegranates, berries, and so forth. I also get…

I will be visiting Georgia this July for 2 weeks. I would like to spend about 5 days trekking. I prefer a mix of beautiful natural landscapes and traditional village life. I will be carrying a tent but would like to spend some time in homestays. My favourite so far in the Central Asian/Eastern European region was 10 days trekking up the Bartang valley in Tajikistan.

My research points me towards two options:
1. Tusheti region: Omalo to Shatili (5 days)
or
2. Svaneti region: Mestia - Mulakhi -…

Sorry to jump In so cold with little homework, but please provide me a short list of places to visit. I travel with a fold up bike (It loves mountains but primarily paved roads). I love photography, remote steep hill towns, pretty villages, Seaside areas also. I do not like the heat! I prefer colder areas (Even 20C is too hot for me). Can you provide me a list of must visit locations for hills and pretty villages or must see places in Georgia? Is September or October still warm in these…

Hi all, i'm arriving in Kutaisi on 2nd July and have 2 weeks before flying back to the UK from Kutaisi. I've been watching some you tube videos on Khevsureti and the castles and watch towers look amazing: Kistani Castles, Shatili fortress complex, Mutso tower and a few others.

Hello travellers, me and my friend are going to spend 3 days in Kazbegi region (next Friday to Sunday). Thursday night we already go from Tbilisi to Stepantsminda, so Friday morning we can start already from there. Sunday evening we must be in Tbilisi again.

We are fairly fit and would like to do some serious hiking to see as much of the Kazbegi beauty as possible. I would love to hike Mt. Kazbek but based on my research this is not possible in out time schedule and you obviously also need some…

Hi,

We're traveling to Georgia for 5 days next week. This is going to be our first time there. Since we like to take it easy and have a relaxing holiday, we're only doing Tbilisi and Kazbegi this time. I have a couple of questions,
1. Our itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 - Land in Tbilisi early morning, have breakfast and head to Kazbegi directly in the mini- bus. Spend rest of the day in Kazbegi
Day 2 - Kazbegi (probably hike to the church)
Day 3 - Kazbegi (open to suggestions here)
Day 4 - Head to…
