This place is a real heartbreaker. It sits on a paradisiacal motu overlooking the stunning Tumakohua Pass, with exceptionally healthy coral reefs just metres away. It comprises five local-style, rustic bungalows overlooking the lagoon and a delightful overwater dining room. Alas, we’ve heard reports of irregular service and lack of maintenance. There's a two-night minimum stay. No internet access.
An annex called Tetamanu Sauvage on a nearby motu connected to the ‘Village’ by a makeshift wooden bridge harbours another cluster of no-frills beachfront units. Overall, it's great for unfussy divers (there's an on-site dive centre) who want to be close to Tumakohua Pass; less so for holidaymakers.
