Tour description

Join sailing trips organized by passionate skippers. We are a group of dedicated skippers who love to build a sailing community and whose work is to organize several sailing trips a year. We treat participants of our trips as friends, not clients. This trip takes us to the passionate sailing area of Brittany, France. It offers an intriguing mix of tidal waters, wide open vistas, and some very pretty coastline. The Breton region has a very authentic and distinctive flavour and we love "Le Bonheur" of French living! You will be joined by interesting people from all over the world who are fun to spend time with and enjoy adventures. A bit of a backpacker spirit is good to have. The age group is 25-45 but it is really the mental age that counts! If you feel like meeting new people, learning new skills and enjoying true experiences, come join us exploring! No previous sailing experience is necessary to join!

We include you into planning each days itinerary. We are true to a real sailing spirit and plan together with the wind, weather and you! Therefore, please just treat the below itinerary as a general idea. We will customize it to meet your crew wishes and the current weather. Only the mad ones sail against the wind!Day 1: LA TRINITÉ-SUR-MER: Being our starting port, La Trinité offers all that we need. Good public transport to the nearest airports, a sheltered marina, supermarkets and great restaurants just nearby. We dine together in the evening and leave the port next day after breakfast.Day 2: HOUAT AND HŒDIC: These two islands are perfect summer anchorages. We find sandy beaches, protected anchorages and little villages to explore. We sail towards these islands, drop an anchor, swim and relax. Afterwards we take a dinghy and step ashore to have a pleasant walk inland.Day 3: BELLE-ÎLE-EN-MER: We enter one of the rocky inlets of the biggest island of Brittany. We enjoy the peace, birds singing and waves crashing on the rocks. A walk along the cliffy coastline opens up the beauty of the island. Our appetites created, we take a local crepe and admire the scenery.Day 4: LE PALAIS: We pass the coast of Belle-Île and try some dolphin spotting! Mooring at Le Palais to explore the defensive citadel as well as the fishing village. We try one of the local restaurants or cook on board with some French wine. We enjoy the views of the port from the boat and forget routine!Day 5: BONO: That name sounds familiar! We sail up the river Auray and enjoy the views passing by on both sides of our yacht. Mooring near the bridge of Bono town, we go ashore and enjoy a lunch French style! We sail back down the river and drop an anchor on a remote island.Day 6: VANNES: Sailing on the waters of Morbihan we need to take care of the tides. We reach a lock which will let us pass into the Medieval stronghold city of Vannes. Mooring the yachts at a pontoon, within a 5 minute walk, we reach the old town walls. It is an afternoon for strolling and taking in the charm of the city.Day 7:: GAVRINIS: Sailing back from Vannes we drop anchor at Gavrinis island and explore an ancient tomb. Build around 5500 years ago this megalithic monument is notable for an abundance of megalithic art. Sailing further we return to our home marina and enjoy a last captain’s dinner, sharing our favourite memories of the week.Day 8: LA TRINITÉ-SUR-MER : Day 8 is the day to say goodbye. All the miles sailed, coasts visited, skills gained and time shared with others will make you bond and build relations. See you another time!
