Toulon-Hyères Airport, 25km east of Toulon, currently offers flights (some seasonal) to Brussels, Rotterdam, Southampton and Copenhagen, as well as French cities including Paris, Brest, Lyon, Bordeaux and Ajaccio in Corsica.

Reseau Mistral bus 102 runs at least five times daily from the airport to Toulon’s train and bus stations (30 minutes) via Hyères’ port and bus stations (10 minutes); the fare is €1.40.

VarLib ( runs a shuttle bus to St-Tropez (€3, 1½ hours).


Corsica Ferries has services to both Corsica and Sardinia.

In summer Bateliers de la Côte d’Azur goes to the Îles d’Hyères, including Porquerolles (adult/child €29/19, 30 minutes), Port-Cros (€30/20, 45 minutes) or a combined two-island cruise (€36/19). Ferry services also run to St-Tropez in high season, and there are cruises around the bay too.


VarLib ( buses (€3) operate from the bus station, next to the train station. Buses to St-Tropez (two hours, up to 13 daily) go via Hyères (35 minutes) and Le Lavandou (one hour).

The tourist office sells a one-day Toulon Pass that includes unlimited travel on local Le Réseau Mistral buses and commuter boats, and a return ticket for the Mont Faron téléphérique.


Toulon has frequent connections to Marseille (€10, 50 minutes), St-Raphaël (€12, 50 minutes), Cannes (€14.50, 1¼ hours) and Nice (€17, 1¾ hours). Fastest trips are as always by TGV. The station is in the centre of town.
