Join this private day trip to the biggest tall sailing ships celebration. They come to Normandy from all over the world for you. Several majestuous vessels will be docked along the Seine river and open to the public, allowing visitors to come onboard during 10 days from June 6th to June 16th 2019. We'll go to this event by scenic train from Paris for a day excursion. There, we'll enjoy this unique gathering that occurs ONLY every 4 years.This excursion will be also the opportunity to visit the historic Normandy town of Rouen, with its quaint,medieval look, where legendary Joan of Arc was dramatically put on the stake and where impressionist Claude Monet painted Notre-Dame of Rouen, the actual tallest cathedral of France.
• Your personal tour guide greets you at your hotel / accomodation facility • The excursion starts at 7:15 am - Back in Paris at about 6:30 pm.Duration: About 10/11 hours • We'll take the train to Rouen in Normandy where the tall ships event occurs. Provided (round trip) tickets to Rouen  • We'll board some tall ships docked during the event. One of the possible visits will be of the "Hermione", a historic vessel of the Independence of the US - General Lafayette's travel ship to America • We'll discover the quaint and enchanting town of Rouen with its medieval architecture • We'll go inside and learn about the tallest gothic cathedral of France, Notre-Dame of Rouen that was painted by impressionist Claude Monet • Possibility to eat at one of the several lunch accommodations in town or to have a picnic (not included) • This day trip is perfect for children who always dream big of fantastic and faraway adventures like in "pirates of the Caribbean"(Although we'll do everything at a leisure pace, please, ensure that your children will be comfortable for a day excursion) • We'll discover true hidden gems and spectacular views along the way • Your tour cheerfully finishes at your hotel where your tour guide will sail you back (by train, of course :-)
