Jambo

African in Montmartre & Northern Paris

Fronted by a sunflower-yellow facade and decorated with shields and masks, Jambo was opened by former Red Cross chef de mission Pierre-Olivier Pinguet (known as Pop to regulars) and his Rwandan wife Dada. Central African cuisine such as goat's stew with matoke (baked plantains) and dried cod with isombe (mashed cassava leaves) incorporates ingredients imported from the Rwandan capital, Kigali.
