Les Éditeurs

in St-Germain & Les Invalides

Les Éditeurs is a hybrid cafe, library (there are more than 5000 books on hand), bar, salon de thé (tearoom) and restaurant, with floor-to-ceiling windows that make it a great place to watch the germanopratine (yes, there is an adjective for St-Germain des Prés) goings-on. Breakfast (until noon; €3.50 to €14.90) and weekend brunch (11am to 5pm; €26) are both big here.

Outside, a statue of Georges Danton, a leader of the Revolution and later one of its guillotined victims, stands head intact.
