The world’s largest inline mass skate, Pari Roller regularly attracts more than 10,000 bladers. Dubbed ‘Friday Night Fever’, this fast-paced skate covers a different 30km-odd route each week. Most incorporate cobblestones and downhill stretches, and are geared for experienced bladers only (for your safety and everyone else’s). It takes place year-round except when wet weather makes conditions treacherous.
Like its gentler counterpart, the Marais-based Rollers & Coquillages, it’s accompanied by yellow-jersey-clad volunteer marshals, along with police (some on inline skates) and ambulances. Wear bright clothes to make yourself visible to drivers and other skaters.
