Restaurants are thinly spread – head to Le Châtelard and École. Time your visit for Le Châtelard's Friday morning market (year-round).

Look out for menus offering matouille (potatoes in wine-laced, melted Tome des Bauges), ;ocal AOC-protected Tome des Bauges, Reblochon and Chevrotin cheeses. By way of accompaniment, mondeuse wines (a common grape variety in the region), are produced in the Combe de Savoie vineyards in the south of the park.
