Nantes' shared bicycle scheme Bicloo (www.bicloo.nantesmetropole.fr) has stations all over town. The bright orange-and-silver bikes can be accessed from 4am to 1am, and cost €1/5 per 24 hours/week, plus €0.50 for 30 to 60 minutes, €1.50 for 60 to 90 minutes, €2 over 90 minutes; the first 30 minutes are free.
Bus & Tram
The TAN (www.tan.fr) network includes three tram lines that intersect at the Gare Centrale, the main bus/tram transfer point. Buses run from 6.45am to 10pm. Night services continue until 12.30am.
Bus/tram tickets (€1.60, or €14.90 for a carnet of 10) can be purchased individually online, by smartphone, or from bus (but not tram) drivers and at tram-stop ticket machines. They're valid for one hour after being time-stamped. A ticket journalier, good for 24 hours, costs €5.40 or €9 for a ticket valid for four people travelling together; time-stamp it only the first time you use it.
