Millau's standout sight is the architectural wonder of the Viaduc de Millau.


Activities abound around the Grands Causses, with hang-gliding, paragliding, rock climbing, walking and cycling opportunities all accessible from Millau.

Rock Climbing

The high cliffs of the Gorges de la Jonte are an internationally renowned venue for climbers. Rock climbing, along with canyoning, via ferrata and caving are among the adventure activities offered by both Horizon and Roc et Canyon.

Walking & Cycling

The tourist office in Millau provides information on more than 3000km of marked hiking trails in the park, as well as cycling tracks. Whatever your level of fitness, you'll find trails that will suit you. The trails that cross Causse Méjean and Causse du Larzac are very popular. Also consider exploring Chaos de Montpellier-le-Vieux on foot.


Several huge riverside campgrounds stretch along both banks of the Tarn. A few independent hotels and two efficient chain hotels (Ibis and Mercure) are dotted around the town centre. More atmospheric options are found in the surrounding countryside.
