On this pleasant afternoon walking tour I'll show you around the historical city of Aix-en-Provence, taking you to  some of my favorite places to taste traditional Provençale food and wine. You'll learn all about the history, culture, cuisine and rich winemaking tradition of the area. We'll also share my favorite local delicacy -  calissons.
I'll guide you through the beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence, pointing out some of the most emblematic landmarks of the city. Along the way we will stop at some of my favorite local food spots to try the regional cuisines (including calissons, a specialty of the city). Join me for an afternoon of exploring the picture-perfect French city of Aix-en Provence. On this 3-hour walking tour, I'll take you to some of the most important landmarks of the city, explaining the fascinating history of the region, as well as the most interesting aspects of local culture. Along the way we will make stops at artisanal food shops and a market to taste some of the typical flavors of the region. And, just in time for an aperitif, we'll share some wonderful local wines from the Rhone Valley, famous for quality all around the world. Each November, you’ll find Paul helping his family with the olive harvest at their restored 500-year- old traditional farmhouse near Lourmarin in Puget-sur- Durance.
