Yélo The city's bike-sharing scheme has dozens of bike stands around town. Pick up a banana-yellow bike at one station and return it to another (€2 plus €3/7/12 for first two/seven/10 hours).
Le Passeur is a five-minute ferry service linking Tour de la Chaîne with the Avant Port. It runs when there are passengers – press the red button on the board at the top of the gangplank to beckon a boat. Buy a ticket on board.
The small solar-powered Bus de Mer links the Vieux Port with the beach suburb of Les Minimes in 20 minutes. Sailings depart daily April to September; weekends only October to March. Boats sail from the Vieux Port every hour on the hour (except at 1pm) from 10am to 7pm (every half-hour and until 11.30pm in July and August).
Electric buses buzz around town. Local transport system Yélo has its main bus hub and information office at Maison de la Mobilité. Bus lines run until sometime between 7.15pm and 8pm. Single tickets/a carnet of 10 cost €1.30/11; a one-day/week ticket is €4.50/12.50. Bus 1 links place de Verdun with the train station and Vieux Port.
