This is the ultimate Medoc day!  With our team of knowledgeable guides you will experience the best of this wine region. You will visit three Châteaux in the famous appellations of Margaux and Saint Julien, and the Haut medoc with very distinct flavor profiles and unique architecture.Discover the scenic “route des Châteaux” (wine road) and me amazed by the number of Châteaux you will see. Like the wine they produce, all have their own character.A maximum of 8 participants for each group guarantees personalized attention and fun atmosphere.
ITINERARY9 :30 am Meet your group and professional wine guide in Bordeaux, departure for a fun and educational wine tour in the great Medoc area!On the way to your first visit your guide will give you an explanation about the Bordeaux wines characteristics and Classification and the complexity of the different appellations in the Medoc area. Learn how soil and climate as well as the type of grapes can influence the flavor of the wine. 10:00 am For your fist visit you will stop in a Classified Growth of the Margaux appellation.   After the visit you will taste the wines of the Property.11:30 amOff to the next visit in St Julien to one of the largest properties in the Medoc.  An elegant classified growth which is known to locals as ‘THE REFERENCE’ for Saint Julien wines.  The visits is followed by a tasting of the wines.12:45 pmThe lunch, included, at a local hang out for chateau owners, wine makers and wine merchants.3:00 pm The next visit is a surprising introduction to wine-making in an unexpected ultra-modern setting at a Cru Bourgeois property in the Haut Medoc appellation.    The Château provides a stark contras with the stunningly modern wine cellars.After the visit you will try the wines of the Château.4:30 pm   Return to Bordeaux.Practical information : Wear sensible shoes and layers. Cellars can be cool and we may walk through the vines.  Each visit last between 1 to 1-1/2 hrs. and is conducted by an English speaking guide in the chateaux. The visits cover the vines, grape varieties, wine making  and end with a tasting of several wines.    Please be on time for departure. *depending on the availabilities and weather.
