Arbois has an abundance of excellent restaurants and brasseries, particularly along Grande Rue and (on the opposite river bank) rue de Faramand. Arbois' renowned vin jaune (a slow-fermented, golden-hued wine) finds its way into everything from coq au vin to snail salads, and features in plenty of sauces drizzled over meat and fish.

You'll also find some excellent patisseries peeping out between Arbois' bistros and wine cellars.
