Hidden behind a wall in the old town, this enormous maison d’hôte occupies a 17th-century former convent. Staying here is as much architectural experience as accommodation: soaring ceilings, stonework, and a grand staircase, plus palatial rooms (one has a sink made from a baptismal font). There’s a sweet garden with a little pool, and breakfast is served in the old convent refectory.
It’s down a tricky to find backstreet, so phone ahead for directions. There's free parking nearby on Cours Lauze de Perret.
