Flights & getting there

Annecy is well connected to surrounding cities, town and ski resorts, by both bus and train.

Bus

The ticket office for the bus station is inside the train station.

Transalis handles services from Annecy to Geneva (lines T72 and T73, €10.50, 1½ hours, up to 15 daily Monday to Friday, six to eight Saturday and Sunday).

Altibus (www.altibus.com) sends buses from Annecy to villages around Lac d'Annecy, including Veyrier-du-Lac (30 minutes, every hour or two between 7am and 7.40pm), Menthon-St-Bernard (25 minutes, five to eight services Monday to Saturday) and Talloires (30 minutes, five to eight services Monday to Saturday). Tickets cost €1.50 each way. Other destinations include the ski resorts of La Clusaz (€8, 1¼ hours, eight to 12 daily) and Le Grand Bornand (€8, 1½ hours, eight to 12 daily).

There are direct Altibus services to Geneva airport (€14, 1½ hours, six to 12 daily). Direct buses to Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport (€12, 1½ hours, five or six daily) can be booked through www.ouibus.com.
