Tour description provided by Viator

The Château de Chantilly is one of the finest jewels in the crown of France's cultural heritage. It is also the work of a man with an extraordinary destiny: Henri d’Orléans, Duke of Aumale (1822-1897), fifth son of Queen Marie-Amélie and King Louis-Philippe, the last King of France. Thanks to the precautions taken by the Duke of Aumale in his will, Chantilly remains, more than a century later, a showcase of preserved works where the charm of the 19th century continues to reign.
Enjoy a visit of the Domaine de Chantilly and explore the Château, the Gardens and the Great Stables. The Château houses the Condé Museum, which is made up of the princely suites, an exceptional collection of paintings - over 800 masterpieces by artists such as Botticelli, Raphael, Poussin, Delacroix - and a library conserving over 13,000 works. With an overall surface area of 115 hectares, the gardens of the Château de Chantilly are the result of several creations according to the fashion of each period: the French-style garden created by André Le Nôtre in the 17th century, the Anglo-Chinese Garden in the 18th century and the English Garden in the 19th century. Lastly, the Great Stables are a masterpiece of 18th century architecture. They house the Museum of the Horse, which is home to over 200 objects and works of art dedicated to the equine world.
