You'll be visiting 3 different cellars in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, given details about the making of wine and the different terroirs. You'll be tasting different wines.
Having worked with 3 of the most renowned cellars in Châteauneuf-du-Pape for 3 years, I will be delighted to tell you about all the mysteries and secrets of this fantastic terroir! You'll be visiting great cellars in Châteauneuf-du-Pape from very old tiny cellars to bigger and more modernised ones. You'll be Lucky to be in one of the most picturesque and authentic vineyard in France as Châteauneuf has remained the same through time -unlike many other French Vineyards!- and faithful to its tradition and ancestral way of working the land and making wine. The region is also well-renowned for its goat cheese, however you'll be tasting a wider range (3 to 4 different types). This tour is not available at the weekend as the cellars are closed. The estates I usually go to are the folowing ones: Domaine ROGER SABON, domaine CHANTE CIGALE, domaine du BANNERET, domaine du HAUT DES TERRES BLANCHES, domaine MAS SAINT LOUIS, domaine MAYARD, domaine RAYMOND USSEGLIO, domaine de L'HARMAS, domaine de la MEREUILLE, domaine de la JAUFRETTE, domaine de LA PALUD, domaine LES CLEFS d'OR, BEAUCASTEL tasting room, PEGAU tasting room, chateau FORTIA (extra 5 euros per person not included in price on premises), Chateau VAUDIEU (extra 8 euros per person not included in price to be paid on premises), chateau LA NERTHE (extra 15 euros per person not included in price on premises), domaine de la JANASSE (extra 10 euros per person not included in price to be paid on premises).
