Rauma Museum

Finland's West Coast

Rauma Museum encompasses four sites, the most interesting of which is Marela, the period-furnished home of a wealthy 19th-century merchant family. The home of a former seaman, Kirsti is a lovable collection of lopsided wooden buildings representing home life from different eras. The main building is the impressive 1776 Vanha Raatihuone (Old Town Hall), with lace and changing local-history displays.
