Fusion in Kristinestad

From Kristinestad centre, it's 3km south to the tiny island of Högholmen, where, beyond a picturesque patch of woodland, you'll find this fairy-tale eggshell-blue wooden summer pavilion with a terrace overlooking an idyllic little boat-filled harbour. The menu is an odd fusion of Finnish and Thai, but somehow it works. Try the exquisite salmon-mushroom soup or pike-perch with sweet-and-sour sauce.
