Tour description provided by Viator

The formidable Sampo, an icebreaker that used to be deployed by the Finnish government, is now being used for a unique cruising experience in the Bothnian Gulf. Join us for a sailing trip of a lifetime!
Join us for an experience on the open Arctic waters; where steel and ice meet on the sea. We begin the activity with a 90-minute drive to the nearby city of Kemi. It is here, at the Kemi Ajos Harbour, where you will be boarding the magnificent vessel. You will be guided as the ship sails through the Bothnian Gulf and will even have the chance to float in the water using a floating rescue suit. Your lunch of salmon or reindeer soup will also be provided for you during the trip. Upon your return to the port, you will take an excursion to the Kemi Snowcastle: a snow fort that is rebuilt every year with a different design. The snow castle covers more than 13,000 square meters, has towers standing 20 meters tall, and new ice art exhibitions every year! Once your trip to Kemi has finished, you will return to Rovaniemi for dinner at one of the finest restaurants in town. Once you filled your belly, you will finally be brought back to your hotel for some well-deserved rest.
