The Royal Suva Yacht Club is a popular watering hole for yachties and locals alike. It has great sunset views of the Bay of Islands, though the food can be hit and miss. Even without a yacht, overseas visitors are welcome and the atmosphere at the bar can be lively and salty; everyone has a story to tell.
The noticeboard is a good place to find crewing positions and the marina has dockside fuel and water. The Yacht Shop handles parts and repairs. Anchorage fees are $5 per day, or $50 if you prefer to overnight in one of the marina berths. There are laundry and shower facilities for those who have just arrived, and the office advises on customs and immigration procedures. Yachties use channel 16 to call ahead of arrival.
