The southern part of the island isn’t well-serviced by public transport but it’s a beautiful place to visit. Check out the blowhole on the dramatic, windswept South Cape. As the water jumps up through the volcanic rock it creates rainbows in the air. Southern Taveuni is also home to Vuna Reef, which is perfect for snorkellers and novice divers. The main villages on southern Taveuni are Naqarawalu in the hills and, on the southern coast near Vuna Reef, Kanacea, Vuna and Navakawau.
