I will be traveling to Estonia in June for 11 days/10 nights. Flying to/from Tallin and I will rent a car for 9 days. I’m a 40 year old photographer from Spain, traveling with my camera and drone, looking for photo/video opportunities, specially landscapes. I love Nature, wildlife, scenic driving routes, quiet and local places, beautiful sunrise and sunsets, beaches, lakes, rivers and mountains.
This is my planned itinerary so far:
- Sat 9: arrival to Tallin airport
- Sun 10…
I'm looking on the Eckero Line ferry website. In addition to the 17 Euro fare, there are options for a seat in the lounge for 20 Euro more? or a cabin for 29 Euro more? I'm I reading this right? What service do I get for 17Euro?
In June, I'll go to Estonia and Russia. I'd like to spend some hours watching birds, wildlife in general. From Tallinn, we'll drive to Saaremaa. The road passes close to Matsalu National Park . What can I wait about birds in that dates ? I'll carry only binoculars, not spotting scope. Any advisable area in Saaremaa ?
Thanks in advance.
My husband and I are in our mid-30s, love to travel, and are planning on doing a one week excursion in the Balkan countries. We don't get a lot of vacation days and are planning on visiting Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. We don't need to venture too far into the country if time does not permit, but wouldn't mind crossing the border to say we've been (I promise we're not one of those people!).
Wanted to know if a road trip by car would be a better plan vs. traversing by bus. Seems…
I'll spend 11 days in Estonia this summer and I need some help with the itinerary. My rough sketch so far:
Day 1: Arrival in Tallin, see Old town, stay overnight in Tallin
Day 2: Tallin
Day 3: Lahemaa
Day 4: Lahemaa
Day 5: Tartu
Day 6: Tartu
Day 7: Pärnu
Day 8: Saaremaa
Day 9: Saaremaa
Dya 10: Haapsalu
Day 11: Tallin, late flight home
Is this feasible? I'm particularly curious about what's the best way to see as much of Lahemaa as possible in a couple of days.
I'm going to be in Tallinn in Estonia for the 100 years of independence celebration coming from a roadtrip around the Nordic baltic sea.
My car needs it's time belt replaced before I continue further exploring eastern Europe.
As I heavily rely on the car I won't it be done properly so I'm asking you to recommend a SKODA or free garage that you had good experiences with or that you would vouch for.
I'm not really fixed on a certain place. I would just make it a tripdestination if it's of…

I am going to be in Estonia, Tallinn until 2 April. I have two questions regarding traveling between cities from Estonia to Latvia and Lithuania.
On 2 April I plan to go to Lahemaa National Park and stay at the Sagadi Manor Hostel for one night. On 3 April I plan to travel to Riga and spend 2 days (1 day in Riga and 1 day to Cesis Castle), then 3 days in Vilnius with 1 of those days to Trakai.
I am comfortable using public transportation or renting a car if that will save time. Since I am…
