The eye-catching Cinema Impero from the late 1930s is made up of three massive windows that combine strong vertical and horizontal elements with 45 porthole lamps. This is one of the only historic cinemas in town that still screens films, with several showings per day (from nfa10; times vary, especially during power cuts).

Alliance Française is a cultural centre useful for information and occasional performances, and has a library (membership nfa300) for literature-starved francophones. The cafe out back (4pm to 8.30pm) is planning to add crepes to the menu soon.
