Equatorial Guinea has a wealth of tropical fruit, vegetables such as cassava, plantains and yams, and a great deal of fish. Most restaurants in Malabo and Bata offer European, particularly Spanish, or Lebanese dishes. There are a few that have African dishes on the menu, such as the local dish of chicken with a creamy peanut sauce, Senegalese yassa. There are few restaurants elsewhere.
