Feature: Off the Beaten Track

Whether on two wheels or four, one of the joys of the Yorkshire Dales is exploring the hidden corners of the lesser-known valleys. From Swaledale, climb up to the moors above Arkengarthdale in search of the Tan Hill Inn, Britain’s highest pub, or follow the River Swale to discover the tiny village of Muker. From Grassington, make your way north along lovely Littondale and stop for a pint in Arncliffe at the Falcon Inn, where beer is still served from a jug on the counter.
