Exposed brick, elongated wooden benches and a courtyard garden are the backdrop for brilliant brioche-bun burgers such as the Hereford Hop (pulled beef shin, Hereford Hop cheese, dill pickles and mustard mayo). Veggie burgers are cooked on a separate grill; you can order gluten-free buns made from quinoa flour. Alongside local ciders, kickin' cocktails include a vodka-fuelled Marmalade Mule.
Mini burgers are available for kids.
Its neighbouring space, the Bookshop (32 Aubrey St), serves blackboard specials of grass-fed, dry-aged Herefordshire steaks from 6pm to 10pm Thursday to Saturday and roasts on Sunday from noon to 6pm.
