Sportsman Pub

Top choice British

in Whitstable

The anonymous and oddly named village of Seasalter, 4 miles east of Whitstable, would hardly receive a trickle of visitors were it not for the deceivingly ramshackle Sportsman Pub, East Kent’s only eatery adorned with a Michelin star. Local ingredients from sea, marsh and woods are crafted by Whitstable-born chef Stephen Harris into taste-packed Kentish creations that have food critics drooling.

Oysters naturally feature heavily in the starting line-up; fish dominate the mains. All the salt, butter and cured meats used here are made on the premises.
