Purportedly the town’s oldest pub; there’s been a tavern here since the 13th century, and it was supposedly a favourite hangout for Penzance’s ‘free traders’ (aka smugglers); a subterranean tunnel once led straight to the harbour from the cellar (now the dining room). Skinner’s and Sharp’s ales on tap, and a seafood-dominated menu that features crab sandwiches and grilled lobster.
