This part of Oxford is so close to the centre that unless you’ve booked accommodation here it makes more sense to dip into it now and again than to set aside entire days to explore it. You’ll need at least half a day to visit the Ashmolean Museum, and another half to see the Natural History and Pitt Rivers Museums; in each instance, it’s just as easy to return to the city centre to eat or drink as it is to head into Jericho’s distinct nightlife and dining district, along and just off Walton St. That said, it’s well worth devoting at least one evening to enjoying Jericho’s pubs and restaurants, and its various cafes and coffee bars make this a nice place to start the day too.
