If you avoid pasta restaurants because you think you can make it just as easily at home, Marcella is here to prove you wrong. Perfect, homemade pasta comes with seasonally changing sauces in simple but delicious combinations. Starters are equally tasty (the house ricotta is creamy heaven) as are the generously large fish- and meat-based mains, made to share.
Desserts are not to be ignored either and, like the rest of the menu, change depending on what's available that week.
Decor is hipster minimalist and the tables are a bit too close together, but it's still worth the trek out to current cool kids' fave Deptford for the seriously top quality food. The restaurant is a minute's walk from the station, or ten minutes from New Cross Overground.
